Meta advertisers have expressed concerns to the tech giant about their ads appearing alongside disturbing sexual content, according to an updated complaint filed by the New Mexico Attorney General. The complaint alleges that Match Group and Walmart have raised these concerns and that Match Group has reduced its advertising spending on Meta’s platforms as a result. Meta stated that it does not want such content on its platforms and that it continues to invest in safety measures. The complaint also claims that Meta executives have known about child predators using Facebook to groom victims but failed to act. Zuckerberg is set to testify at a Senate subcommittee hearing on youth safety online.
